Its location is strategic, given its proximity to important road axes, namely the ER335 and ER333, with quick connections to the A17 (Aveiro/Leiria), which are in good condition, allowing easy access and distribution of people and goods by road to various points in the country. The establishment of industries began in the 1970s, and its perimeter was defined with the publication of the 1st revision of the Municipal Master Plan, which took into account existing industries. The consolidation of this industrial zone was promoted by the Oliveira do Bairro Municipal Council, which, since its creation, has acquired land and carried out subdivision operations, with the aim of organizing infrastructure and creating plots for sale at reasonable prices. This is a well-established industrial zone, with an occupancy rate close to 100%.
